What's More Meaningful Than Love...

Love, laughter and music filled the air at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home Wednesday afternoon as residents of the center enjoyed its annual Valentine’s Day party. Residents and family at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home gathered to celebrate St. Valentine in spirit. And the party wouldn't be complete without decorations, cake, a live band, and of course- dancing!

A well thought out activities program is at the heart of a quality life for our residents. Activities are not just about bingo and watching television. In fact, our activity programs can be quite creative and stimulating for our residents mind.  Having “choice of activities" and "activities that amount to something” is important for improving a sense of independence and positive self-image for our nursing home residents. And what is more meaningful than celebrating love? We offered the residents an opportunity to tell their very own love story during our banquet. One lovely couple was Mr. and Mrs. Mosley who will be celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary on March 5th of this year! Its wonderful to still see smiles on their faces all these years later!

Bibb Medical Center will host a free flu shot clinic 1/19/18 at the Specialty Clinic. The flu shots will be given on a first come first serve basis starting at 8:00 am on Friday.

100 flu vaccines will be available for those who lack healthcare insurance or the ability to pay and have not yet received their vaccine.

The flu is here, in Bibb County, but it is not too late to get your shot. The CDC continues to recommend the vaccine although it is not 100% preventative, it has proven to lessen the intensity and duration of the flu illness.

For more information please contact Jami Carlee at (205) 926-3292.
